Helical ties are typically installed in deep soil that can resist the pressure, so the wall can be realigned. These ties will relieve the external pressure that is exerted on the wall. They can be used in addition to the carbon fibers when there is severe movement in the wall. The helical ties will provide additional stability.

This option is not suitable in all conditions. They need to be used in the right locations and with the right soil. In some cases, homeowners will not be able to use them because of how close their bowed basement walls are to their neighbor's basement.
